In grammar, a conjunction is a part of speech that connects two words, phrases or clauses together.

That

That: futa, a, fwa, tsnì

From a very useful post by omängum fra'uti.

There are several words that mean "that" in a conjunctive sense.

The first is a on it's own.

Lu oe-ru ay-lì'u a new oe nga-ru p<iv>eng.
I have words that I want to tell you.

There are also several contractions based on a...

Fì'u + a = fwa
Lu sìltsan fwa tsun nga tsl<iv>am.
It is good that you can understand.
Fì'ut + a = futa
Oel omum futa nga new n<iv>ume.
I know that you want to learn.

Then there is tsnì, which can be used with intransitive verbs...

Sìlpey oe tsnì fì'u nga-ru srung s<iv>i.
I hope that this helps you.

This one is actually optional and you could say instead (And Frommer usually does)

Sìlpey oe, fì'u nga-ru srung s<iv>i.
I hope this helps you.

However the first sentence, and related things, we've seen Frommer say something like...

Nga-l ikran-it ngeyä t<ol>atep a fì'u-ri oe tsap'alute si.
You lost your Ikran, about that, I apologize. (I apologize that you lost your ikran.)

The second could be said similarly...

Nga oe-ru srung s<er>i a fì'u-ri oe lrrtok si.
You help me, about that, I smile. (I smile that you help me.)

Potentially you could also use the causative there.

Oe-ti lrrtok s<eyk>i fì'u-l a nga oe-ru srung s<er>i.
You helping me makes me smile.

And

And: and ulte

Na'vi has two words for 'and'.

Ulte is used when connecting clauses.

oel ngati kameie, ma tsmukan, ulte ngaru seiyi ireiyo source
I see you, brother, and I give you thanks

is used when connecting two things

Ayeylanur oeyä sì eylanur lì'fyayä leNa'vi nìwotx source
To all my friends and friends of the Na'vi language

Than

Than: to

To say "A is adj-er than B," you simply say "A to B lu adj."

Po to oe lu sìltsan source
You are better than me
