|comments=Per the SG, Pandoran animals see IR with the 2nd set of eyes. The Na'vi might then have a word for when they link in that's distinct from red. Or it could be "warm colored" in the literal sense! (more likely "warmth colored", "color of heat"). Also, if they can see further into the violet than we can, there might be a violet/UV word (though perhaps that would be lumped in with ean).

|comments=Russian has dark vs. light blue the way English has red vs. pink. Assuming Na'vi lumps pink in w red, might there be a diff between dark grue (ean) and light grue (turquoise, maybe lavender if violet is covered by ean)? Red-orange would conflate a distinction in English, whereas ean-turquoise would make a perpendicular distinction.

By the way: Is "fahew" pejorative (like German "Gestank") in contrast to neutral/general scent (German: "Geruch") and positive scent (German: "Duft"), or is "fahew" a generic term, maybe with the affect infixes distinguishing positive from negative?

the food tastes good vs. I taste the food: tìg ftxì ?

A generic grammatical way for these middle senses ("I look at a painting," vs. "the painting looks good", etc) could be helpful.
