The Hamlet Translation Project is a project started shortly after Sigourney Weaver said in an interview that "people will be doing Hamlet in Na'vi one of these years" and we plan to make that happen.

List of Missing Words

Policies

Each scene will have its own page which will contain the English lines with the na'vi lines directly beneath them, if individual lines translate well then it should alternate between English and na'vi (with the na'vi in bold). Obviously it's not always possible to translate line by line and could even provide a worse translation, in this case put the block of na'vi below the block of English it is a translation of.

If we don't have a word in na'vi yet, please put it in italics and it to the list of missing words. This also applies to names (including those of places), until we know a bit more about na'vi names I think it would be best to leave the original names in (they can be translated or transliterated later on as seems most appropriate).

If you see something that looks wrong in the translation, please let us know in the project's thread on the forum.

The script we are using is found here, be aware that it is not unusual for different editions to have slightly different versions of the script (in particular when act and scene changes are).
