Accents

For Mac

í - Option+e, i ä - Option+u, ä

For Windows

í - Achieved by holding "Alt Gr" (most commonly found to the right of the spacebar) while pressing the i key. Works for both lower and uppercase.

ä - Achieved on international keyboards by holding the 'alt' key and, using the numpad only, typing '0228'. The alt key is then released and the character will be produced.

For Linux

GNOME: You may need to set your Compose Key in Keyboard Settings. Then use it in sequence:

ì - Compose + ` + i

ä - Compose + " + a
