The Láadan language was invented by Suzette Haden Elgin for a series of SF books.  It's supposed to represent the viewpoint of women better (which brings out an awful lot of surprisingly nasty comments).  The print grammar for that language has some interesting tools for practicing a language, and few of them show up on a new web site for the language.  Take a look at the "Pattern Practice" section of [http://www.laadanlanguage.org/pages/node/14] and following lessons.  That gets in grammar and vocab practice.  Sections like that would be very useful for Na'vi lessons, too, I think.  [[User:Wm.annis|Wm.annis]] 02:22, 27 January 2010 (UTC)

Some hints from Láadan

The Láadan language was invented by Suzette Haden Elgin for a series of SF books. It's supposed to represent the viewpoint of women better (which brings out an awful lot of surprisingly nasty comments). The print grammar for that language has some interesting tools for practicing a language, and few of them show up on a new web site for the language. Take a look at the "Pattern Practice" section of [1] and following lessons. That gets in grammar and vocab practice. Sections like that would be very useful for Na'vi lessons, too, I think.
