The Láadan language was invented by Suzette Haden Elgin for a series of SF books. It's supposed to represent the viewpoint of women better (which brings out an awful lot of surprisingly nasty comments). The print grammar for that language has some interesting tools for practicing a language, and few of them show up on a new web site for the language. Take a look at the "Pattern Practice" section of [http://www.laadanlanguage.org/pages/node/14] and following lessons. That gets in grammar and vocab practice. Sections like that would be very useful for Na'vi lessons, too, I think. Some hints from Láadan
First vocab lesson; word order
I think it might be easier for people if their first exposure to the free word order doesn't involve questions of transitivity. Things like ikran lu tsawl can get them a little vocab and an intro to the wonders of free constituent order without have also to cope with two cases and transitivity. Then a following lesson with the oel ngati kameie examples can be a double dose of free word order learning. Wm.annis 01:13, 28 January 2010 (UTC)
