Na'vi Name: Montana Reytx

It would be cool if my name was different in Na'vi, however I think Montana (English) is equivalent to Montana (Na'vi). Reytx is the closest I can get to my last name.

About Me

I'm a University student in my final year of Electrical Engineering. I write computer programs in my spare time and I went to see Avatar as I was interested in the rendering, motion capture and cinematography techniques. I walked away in awe - not at the technology necessary to render the film - but at the fictitious language of the Na'vi. I did some research and found that Frommer created a valid language, which could theoretically be learned. So, here I am at learnnavi.org.

I'm totally new to the language, and have only limited experience in other languages. It's been hard for me to understand concepts such as dative, and aspects (I'm definitely not a language major). I'm pressing on however, and we'll see what happens. I have my fingers crossed that Frommer will be able to release a more complete compendium in the future. Until then I am using the Pocket Guide and the excellent dictionaries compiled by Taronyu.
